What is FICA and why it matters
FICA is South Africa’s Financial Intelligence Centre Act. It requires operators to verify customer identity and address to prevent fraud and money laundering. You’ll need to pass FICA to withdraw.
Documents you’ll need
- Proof of identity: SA ID or passport (clear, valid)
- Proof of address: recent utility bill/bank statement (usually ≤3 months)
- Sometimes: source of funds or bank card proof (operator‑dependent)
How to upload and verify
- Log in and go to your profile or verification area.
- Upload clear, colour scans/photos of your documents.
- Ensure names and addresses match your account.
- Submit and wait for confirmation.
Approval times and tips
- Reviews often complete within hours to a couple of days.
- Use high‑resolution images with all corners visible.
- Avoid glare; photograph documents on a dark background.
